Timeline

How can I find apps that I can add to my timeline?
To browse popular apps, check out the categories under Add apps to your timeline today on the timeline apps page.

You can also visit the Apps and Games Dashboard. This dashboard shows Requests from your friends, and you'll also see a list of recommended apps and apps that your friends use.

Discover apps through your friends’ app activity, which appears on their timeline, News Feed and ticker. If you're looking for a specific app, you can search for it by entering its name into the search bar at the top of all pages on Facebook.

When I add an app to my timeline, where does my activity appear and who can see it?
When you give an app permission to add activity to your timeline, that activity may also appear in ticker and News Feed.

Depending on your privacy settings, your app activity may also be visible to other people using the app or website. If you want to remove an app story from your timeline and activity log, you can do so at any time.

Your friends and the other people you share information with can also share your activity with apps they use. To turn off the ability for others to share your app activity:
Click the http://dragon.ak.fbcdn.net/cfs-ak-snc6/85001/493/207097142662705_1348602426.png at the top right of any Facebook page and pick Privacy Settings
Under the Apps and Websites heading, click Edit Settings
Click Edit Settings next to Info accessible through your friends
Un-check the box next to My app activity

Where can I control my app privacy and setting?
There is an in-line audience selector on the app install screen that controls who can see your activity from that app. After you install an app, you can view and manage its settings on your App Settings.

To get to your App Settings:
Open the account dropdown menu  at the top right corner of Facebook and click Account Settings.
From the menu in the left column, select Apps. From here, you can manage settings for each individual app you've added.

To change who can see your app activities:
From the App Settings page, click Edit next to the app you’d like to change
Across from App activity privacy, choose the group of people you’d like to share with using the dropdown menu

To get to your general settings for Apps and Websites:
Click  at the top-right corner of Facebook and pick Privacy Settings.
Under the Apps and Websites heading, click Edit your settings. From here, you can turn off all platform apps, control what information is visible to your friends through apps and websites they use, and more.

See Limited Facebook Profile Without Adding as Friend

There are two methods to see a users limited facebook profile without being friends with them and both are very easy and straight forward to do. However, there is a draw back and that is that the facebook user will most likely know that it is you and they will be able to see your limited profile.
If you would like to be more secretive and can not afford the private user to know that it is you try How to View Private Facebook Profiles. Otherwise, here are these two methods to see the users limited profile.
Many people ask what is the easiest way to view a private facebook account or how to get around private facebook profiles. Well, these are probably the easiest ways to view a private face book account, although maybe not the best.
First Method
You can send the user a simple message to their inbox. To do this you go to their profile page and it will immediately tell you through a pop up that in order to view a private users profile on facebook you must add them as a friend and it will give you other options as well. Click on message users and send them a small message such as “hi.” Facebook will inform the person that your account can now see their limited profile and that they will also be able to see your limited profile.
Second Method
This may be the better of the two methods to see a facebook users profile. All you do is poke them. This does everything that sending them a message does except it has the slight advantage that most users have no clue what poking actually does, so they may not know that you can see their limited profile. But they will still know that you are thinking about them or that you know they have a facebook profile.
This is just an easy way to see limited facebook profiles. If you don’t mind the user knowing who you are, then these are great methods, but for most purposes if you don’t want a user to know that you are spying on them, it’s not the best method. Use other means, located on this site to be more secretive.
